Who we are

Mission

Stations Unidos advances housing, supports local businesses, and connects communities to neighborhood-led solutions that help families stay rooted and thrive in Everett.

Vision

The Everett Station District and Casino Road are communities where residents and businesses lead, transit connects, and growth strengthens those already here.

Background

Stations Unidos evolved from Everett Station District Alliance (ESDA). In 2014, stakeholders to the area around Everett Station at 3201 Smith Ave began meeting to envision a new future for the immediate area. Those efforts led to the organization’s incorporation in 2017 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, several visionary reports, and the establishment of The Everett Station District business improvement area to provide cleaning, safety, and placemaking services.

In order to realize the organization’s visions for equitable transit-oriented development, ESDA contracted with LISC Puget Sound in 2024 to recommend the what, who, and how to create a community development corporation that could collaboratively implement the organization’s visions.

After deep engagement by ESDA and LISC with community partners, in 2025 the ESDA Board of Directors adopted LISC’s recommendations for evolving the organization’s programs and governance to align with supporting anti-displacement and equitable transit-oriented development across the City of Everett — and officially taking on the name “Stations Unidos” in 2026.

The new board is equally represented by representatives of the Everett Station District and South Everett. Future board members will be nominated by the organization’s local neighborhood advisory boards, who will also help set the organization’s visions and strategic plans for each area.

The Everett Station District will continue as both a division of Stations Unidos, and as the name for the area around Everett Station at 3201 Smith Ave.
